Do you know about how much this would need to be scaled down for a 9x4x4 pan, I was gifted one but it’s not USA Bakeware so the measurements are a little different.

You should need about 3/4 of this recipe. Do divide the dough into 4 – then use three parts for the 9-inch pan. the remaining one part you can make small buns or a mini loaf. Hope this makes sense. Thanks

I received a 16x4x4 Pullman loaf pan. How would I have to modify this recipe for my larger pan?

Can we use bread flour instead of All Purpose flour? If yes, do we need to reduce the amount of flour used? Thank you

Yes, you can use the bread flour. You may need a few tablespoons less. But, work towards the right consistency to your dough rather than amount of flour.

What does 0.5 egg mean? How do we measure half an egg?

    1. 5 stars
Just beat the egg and use only half of it, Sneha. You won’t even need half the egg if you just using it as an egg wash.

I followed this recipe to the T. I placed the pan in the oven and a little while later I heard a noise. I went and looked in the oven. The lid popped off and dough was running down both ends of the pan. What did I do wrong?

Carolyn sounds like you have excess dough in the pan. When you put in the oven the dough should be about 2/3 the pan. The rest will rise up in the oven. What pan size did you use?

Hi, I have a 9x4x4 Pullman loaf pan. How do you adjust the measurements of this recipe to fit that size of pan?

    1. 5 stars
You will need 2/3 of the dough for the 9-inch pan.
You can make the rest of the dough into small mini rolls and bake them for about 20 minutes until golden.

Thank you for publishing this. Five years ago I bought a Pullman pan and had yet to use it until this last year in self-isolation.
After reviewing several recipes, I settled on this one, and each loaf has turned out totally perfect.
Thank you so much for sharing this
