  1. I made this and it’s sooo delicious! I didn’t add salt on it 🙂

These are amazing! I make many protein mains that are done with the “reverse sear” method, which means my oven is at too low a temperature to produce crispy+creamy potatoes, so this recipe is my go to as the side starch every time. While I could crank up the oven after I slow roast the meat, most oven roasted potato recipes take so long that the meat would be too cool for our preferences. This recipe is also easy to scale down or up as needed, and to adjust seasonings to suit the overall theme. When I reverse sear a chili-brined pork butt, I use Mexican oregano and dried jalapeños for the potatoes, for instance. Thanks so much!

Probably very good with very good ingredients. I only had a chicken boullion cube (not so good) and dried rosemary and thyme, which were okay. I need to reduce salt- would’ve been better not to add any with broth but sprinkle the poratoes with kosher type along with the parsley and cheese (I used regular dried parmesan, not the good stuff.) Every step took twice as long as listed- browning, cooking, and evaporating. This recipe is a good alternative to roasted potatoes if you don’t have an oven, but use the best ingredients you can get.

    Followed recipe exactly. Amazing!

  5. Hi,
Made these today. They were great! Thank you. One question … When does the garlic get added?

    1. Thank you Sara. You can add the garlic with the oil but it tends to burn so I add it with the other ingredients with the stock, herbs, and butter. Thanks for the lovely feedback.
