Recipes for Passover
Passover or Pesach in Hebrew is a major Jewish holiday that commemorates the story of Exodus, in which the ancient Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt.
It is celebrated for eight days during which time the Jews abstain from eating leavened bread or Chametz which is food made with wheat, barley, rye, spelt, or oats. Instead, they eat matzo meal which is baked bread made with flour and water. You have to be creative with recipes that do not use flour.
Some of the traditional Jewish dishes made for the Passover seder are the matzo ball soup, gefilte fish, and leek and potato patties.
Thankfully I have a few recipes you will love. Try meatballs for appetizers or my flourless chocolate pecan cake for dessert. Don't forget panna cotta and bavarian creams are naturally gluten-free too.
