- Milk: Any type of milk can be used, such as dairy milk, almond milk, soy milk, or oat milk. Use your preferred milk or whatever you have on hand.
- Cocoa Powder: Unsweetened cocoa powder adds the chocolate flavor. You can use chocolate protein powder or chocolate syrup instead for a stronger chocolate flavor.
- Honey or Maple Syrup: These are optional sweeteners. If you prefer, you can use agave syrup or stevia, or omit the sweetener altogether if your fruits are sweet enough.
- Vanilla Extract: Adds a nice flavor. If you don’t have vanilla extract, you can omit it or use a different extract, like almond or coconut.
- Ice Cubes: Optional, but they help make the smoothie colder and thicker. If you use frozen strawberries and bananas, you may not need ice cubes.
