Can date sugar be substituted instead of white granulated sugar?

    1. No, Nandi. Date sugar is made from dried dates. It does add sweetness but does not dissolve when creamed. So it will not produce the same outcome. Use date sugar only in recipes that call for date sugar. That way you will not waste ingredients.

Is it necessary to pulse brown sugar in a food processor as you would white granulated sugar for better dissolve when creaming?

    1. NO Maria. I only suggested that if you have a very thick brown sugar that takes long to cream – but you don’t have to
