  1. Week 1 day 7 done,

    Thank you, Very informative.

  2. In the blog you recommend using a heating core for larger cakes but don’t explain what that is. You do mention “flower nails” but don’t explain that either. Please clarify.

    1. Mary you can buy [eafl id="70939" name="Flower nail heating core" text="heating cores"] online – I have shown a picture of the flour nail used as a core in the blog. Thanks

  3. The ingredient list for white cake has 1 1/2 cups of milk as 240 ml. Which is the correct amount?

Thanks for the correction. So to be clear, it is 1/2 cup / 120 ml. Now I can try the recipe and raise the star rating.
There is one more problem. In the directions, this line appears: “Pro tip – Since whipping cream is thick the batter looks a bit stiffer than regular vanilla cake but the cream will melt in the oven. So, don’t add any more milk”. Since there is no whipping cream on the ingredient list, but there is milk, I do not understand this direction.

Hello again Veena. Sorry to be a nuisance, but the link you gave goes to flower-making equipment not heating cores. By the way, is it flower nails or flour nails?

This link [eafl id="145543" name="Heating core" text="heating core"] goes to automobile parts.

        2. You can use milk or heavy cream in this recipe. But cream is thicker so it tends to make the batter thick often causing people to add more liquid.

          1. Thank you for adding cream to the ingredient list. No the pro tip makes ssense.
