    1. Hey Maddy. happy to help. I always use Magic Colours Brand but any brand would work – Try Americolor too.

  2. Please clarify – Are you referring to confectioners sugar when you say fine grain sugar? Or is it granulated cane sugar? Thank you

  3. I need help modifying this recipe. I only have two 9 inch pans and I want to make a four layer (blue, red, yellow, green) cake. Please advice. I can only bake two layers at a time, so do I leave the remaining batters in the fridge while waiting on the pans?

    1. Maddy, this batter is good for 2 x 9-inch cake pans. My cake is tall but the diameter is only 5 1/2 inches. I hope that makes sense. So you can make 2×9 inch cakes or double it and make 4 x 9-inch layers

    Dear Veena….You’ve kind of become my mentor… Luv your work. Keep going… Im gonna try this cake and come back to you on the result. Ive tried your meringue, its superb. I tried the fondant and i fell in love with it. Im yet to learn to roll the fondant on the cake though :-). you are doing a great job. Cant thank you enough for sharing your wonderful recipes… thnx again.

    For sure the oven can't fit the 6 cake pans at the same time, can the others wait outside the oven for 20 minutes until the firt ones comes out?

  9. Hi! Tried the different colors but never got as vibrant as yours- yours are awesome! Please tell me which colours you used. Also the eggwhites were so yellow that when i tried to make blue, it turned out green- HELP!
