While hot chocolate warms you in winter, frozen hot chocolate has an amazing cooling effect in summer. This drink takes barely 5 minutes to make using my homemade chocolate syrup, hot chocolate mix, and ice cream.

We have really hot summers in Israel. So, this is truly the ultimate summer treat. The best part is it is so easy to make.
- Chocolate syrup - You can use store-bought but it really takes just 5 minutes to make some chocolate syrup at home and it takes so much better.
- Hot Chocolate mix - You can use a store-bought hot chocolate mix but if you make my recipe with real chocolate you will never buy store-bought again
- Milk – I use dairy 3% milk. Almond, coconut, or soy would be delicious too.
- Ice cream - You can use vanilla or chocolate. In fact, try some Belgian dark chocolate ice cream

Step by step instructions
- Add all ingredients - milk, ice cream, chocolate syrup, and hot chocolate mix to the blender. Blend until smooth.
- Pour into individual milkshake glasses
- Top with two or three scoops of vanilla ice cream and sprinkle on some chocolate shavings
- Enjoy!
More variations to this frozen hot chocolate

- Peanut butter - Add 4 tablespoon peanut butter and ½ cup milk to the blender
- Caramel - add ¼ cup caramel sauce to the blender. Smear the milkshake glass with caramel
- Nutella - Add 2 tablespoon Nutella to the blender along with other ingredients.
