Tried it. Followed instructions exactly. Result: A++. Just what I was looking for. Thanks.

  2. I am an experienced bread maker and was very disappointed in these buns. Mine were hard with a crust

I’m going camping/travelling for a month. I’d like to make these to bring along. Should I freeze them or refrigerate them to make them last longer or will freezing them dry them out? How long do they last on the counter?

    1. It is always best to freeze bread rather than chill bread. Freezing makes sure they stay moist when thawed. You can freeze them for months!!

first attempt at a bun recipe and I nailed it.. or you nailed it lol. my kids LOVE IT and they said it’s better than any fast food they’ve tried and I agree!. these have ruined any store bought for life.

    1. Thank you so much, Lisa, for the lovely feedback. Your kids are fortunate that you make such an effort.

Awesome recipe. So much info plus it comes out exactly as it should. I did throw in a little Greek yogurt by weight to substitute for some of the milk.

Also where you have, “as soon as you take the burgers out of the oven” I think you mean buns here?

But regardless nice job on this recipe!

  6. I’ve been through a lot of “Best Ever” recipes, and I mean a LOT. Welp. This is the best ever and I mean that. I just took them out of the oven and I can’t believe how good they are. Won’t make anything else.

    Thanks much!
