  1. Would this recipe work for piping flowers directly on to a cupcake?

    1. Yes, absolutely, Heather. Works great to pipe buttercream flowers directly on cakes and cupcakes.

  2. Is there a non flavored pudding mix that you are using? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that where I live.

The best frosting recipe I’ve ever used. Everyone who tried it loved it. Held up very well under humid conditions. Thanks so much for your work.

Seriously the best tasting stiff frosting. I used it to make Succulents. This will for sure be my go to buttercream recipe from here on out.

  7. At what speeds do you recommend mixing the buttercream?

  8. 1lb of butter?? That’s like 32 cups of butter..!! That can’t be right…?

    1. 1lb of butter should be 2 cups

  9. I havent made this recipe yet but I would like to thank you for all of the pro tips. I learned a few things I didn’t know about buttercream frosting.. Gonna try this hopefully today and I will update.

  10. I’ve never used that much powdered sugar in a recipe before so I’m wondering how to measure it properly. The last recipe I made called for five cups of powdered sugar and the bags I get say 32 oz. So I figured I would need two bags, but I only ended up using one, measuring out five cups using a dry measuring cup. Should I measure it by weight on a food scale?

    1. The powdered sugar is what makes this a stiff buttercream. It is a very sweet buttercream too! This is about 7 cups of powdered sugar.

      1. Thank you! I’m going to make it tonight.
