- Oven – Preheat the oven to 375℉ 190℃ Gas Mark 5
- Combine – In a large mixing bowl, combine your dry ingredients – flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together until they are well combined.
- Cream – In a bowl and a whisk, cream your butter and sugars until they are light and fluffy. Next, add the egg, making sure to combine well. Finally, add in your vanilla extract and mix until everything is combined.
Pro tip – You don’t have to use a mixer for this recipe, but you can use the paddle attachment on medium speed. - Combine – Now it’s time to add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients. Slowly pour in your dry ingredients and stir until the mixture forms a dough.
- Toppings – At this point, you can add any additional mix-ins such as chocolate chips, nuts, or candy. Once your mix-ins are incorporated, cover the dough and refrigerate for at least an hour.
Pro tip – Chilling the dough allows the flavors to meld together and also helps prevent the dough from spreading too much while baking.
- Bake – Place your pizookie in the oven on the center rack. Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is slightly underdone.

- ⅓ cup (65 g) White granulated sugar
- 1 large Egg
- 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
- ½ cup (90 g) Chocolate chips
- ¼ cup (45 g) Chocolate chips for serving
- 3 scoops Ice cream
