  5. Veena, this was so helpful and very interesting! I have been baking for well over 20 years but I would only do it as a hobby and would only charge the bare minimum such a $15 or $20 and people love my cakes and pies, so I have built an awesome reputation and clientele for my products. I am now at a crossroad as to whether or not I really want to pursue it as a business. You have really answered all of the questions that I had and I appreciate you for all of the information that you have shared. Than you again Veena!!

  7. I want to start a small home-based cake business such as the one described. I’ve always loved baking, and in the past two years, I’ve gotten much better at it. The problem is, I’m only 16, have not taken any classes for this, and have no clue if people will feel comfortable buying my products. That is why I was thinking of charging very little, until I realized the cost of making the cake might break even with the price I’ve set. Should I still try?
