    Hi Veena,
    A 500 gm box of icing sugar is 4+ cups. The weight you listed is likely 6-7 cups. Perhaps you can change the text to make sure those without a scale won’t be disappointed. Looks great!

    1. Thank you so much for that Sherry. I just corrected it. I do use my measures in grams so yes that is 6 to 7 cups

    Should I roll the fondant the day of the party on the cake or can I prepare it the day befor ?

    1. Yes you can decorate the cake with fondant a few days earlier. If you have perishable filling just put it in the fridge. When you take it out if there is condensation just leave it alone and it will dry out.

    How much fondant does this recipe make? I am trying to find out if I need to double or triple the recipe. I will be covering three 8×4 and one 5×2.5 sphere pans. Thank you!

    1. Just as it says in the recipe card – 1 Kg fondant. For me I can cover a 9″ + 7″ with this and have a little spare for decorating. Really depends on how thick you roll your fondant.

    How many mini marshmallows should I use if thats all I have. I dont use a scale so I dont know gram measurements.

    1. Laci I can only give you measurements in grams and oz the way I have on the post. I don’t count or measure the ingredients otherwise so not sure how much that will be. Perhaps check online to see the equivalent in cups or numbers if they have.

    when kneading or rolling out the marshmallow fondant do you need to use powdered sugar or cornstarch to prevent sticking to surfaces

    1. Yes as you can see in the video. I am using more powder sugar to knead the fondant until it’s soft and pliable

    Have you ever used this fondant on a cake and then freeze it? I was wondering how it would hold up?

    1. No I have never frozen a fondant cake. Not sure how it works in good climate but in Israel the weather has high humidity so I don’t think that would work here. Personally it does not take long to cover a cake in fondant so I’ve never tired. Sorry

    It is required to rest fondant in fridge or can I use it immediately?

    1. Resting the fondant helps set the gelatin that is in the ingredients. So you get a better stretch. Even an hour or two will help

    I look forward to trying this recipe. But you keep saying for quick fix. What are the disadvantag3 of the marshmallow fondant

    1. Bee for me Marshmallows are not cheap unlike in the US. So my cost goes up! That is why though I like it so much I use the others more than this lol

    1. You can add coloring at any point Michelle. When you are kneading if you want the whole batch to be one color or after it’s rested… you can divide and make many different colors.

    What is the substitue of veg shortening…..can we use other thing

    1. Parul veg shortening is ghee!! You can use any veg ghee you find or even use butter..Butter if yellow can affect the color of your fondant
