This recipe was absolutely amazing! Some curry recipes sound good on blogs and look pretty in pictures but when you make them they just don’t taste right. This is NOT one of those! It was so simple to make and was full of flavour. We added some roti to our dish and it was just divine. This recipe is a keeper and I can’t wait to make it again next week! Thank you for sharing xx

    1. Thank you so much for your feedback, Vanessa. I am so happy to hear you enjoyed this recipe.Yes, roti would definitely be perfect.

I made this tonight with canned kidney beans and it was delicious! I’m so glad I doubled the recipe! I did add one whole jalapeño pepper since I have so many from my neighbor’s garden and I love “heat”. I served it over your Tumeric Cauliflower Rice which was also wonderful. (I used a bag of frozen cauliflower rice from Costco. I microwaved it first, then added it to the onions, garlic,. . .) Both recipes are definite keepers! Thank you!

    1. Thank you, Angela. I am so happy you enjoyed both these recipes. The cauliflower rice is my favorite too.

  3. what kidney beans do we use? light red or dark red? which do u suggest would be best for this curry?

    1. Any kidney beans would work for this curry, Sam. I’ve used the darker ones. Thanks

This was delicious! I added a full can of coconut milk and about 1/4 cup of water and let it simmer a bit longer before adding the cilantro. I like sauce to be a bit thin. I will definitely make this again, thank you for sharing

    1. Sounds delicious HK. Yes, extra sauce is great over rice. I like extra sauce when I eat this like a soup or over my cauliflower rice.

This was very delicious. My wife added some crunchy peanut butter to hers, it went next level. I had already finished mine, but i mixed about 4 tablespoons into the leftovers. Today’s lunch is going to be awesome.

That sounds amazing – I love the addition of kidney beans to this. I usually use chickpeas but don’t always have them on hand.

    1. Thank you Muchelle. I do love kidney beans, but chick peas would work just as well. not just healthy but delish too.

This looks so good. Perfect winter warming food and so fast to make after work. I’ll be making a double batch and whizzing the leftovers into a soup for the next day.
