    I have never made chicken pot pie before but it sure looks like the perfect comfort food for the upcoming cold season. The recipe sounds great and I am very tempted to give it a try soon.

    We make chicken pot pie with leftover chicken meat. So for example we bake a whole chicken with thyme, rosemary parsley mushrooms etc and then we use the left over meat pieces, which are mostly the thighs =), and just create a lovely pie such as yours. we call it a tourte in french.

    1. Left over chicken meat works great too Helen. Yeah back in the day my mom would also do the same. Boil the whole chicken then shred it. Add veggies and voila.. chicken pot pie.
