    I’ve always felt that pecan pie needs another neutral layer to balance out the sweetness of the nuts and this is exactly what you did! I think you perfectly nailed this combo of pie and cake, making this an even better option than traditional pecan pie. Yum!

    I love rustic desserts like this. NO fuss…but amazing taste. I would serve this for brunch on the weekend, but for sure even eat it for breakfast in place of muffins with my morning coffee. Perfection!!

    What a clever way to get my pecan pie fix in cake form. A quick recipe that “frosts” itself. This dessert seems like it would be a much lighter version than the pie — although I do love a good pie only on special occasions. I’ll be trying out this dessert this coming weekend.
