  1. Howdy and thanks. I use a half a cup of stock as per the recipe early on and then it says add remaining stock. The total amount of stock and the recipe was 1/2 a cup. Did I miss something for liquid? I’ve got one cup of beer for the pot and a half a cup of stock that I’ve used to scrape the pan is there any additional stock or water? Thanks!

    1. Hey Ross. No, just add the beer and the stock. That should be enough. Also, the beef will release its own juices so you should have enough liquid in the pot.

A good beef stew is my comfort food and your recipe makes a nice tender beef. I have never added a beer to stew so this ingredient is new for me to try.

This looks like such a gorgeously hearty meal – perfect for fall. I haven’t put beer in my beef stew before, but it sounds like an incredible addition!
