  1. I really enjoyed taking this course. Taking this course can only give you more tools in your cake making arsenal and who couldn’t appreciate more tips & guidance? I really enjoyed the way the course was explained to include the why’s. I know I have never thought about the science behind why cakes rise too much, not rise, dry or crack, etc and I felt this gave me a understanding of the need to be precise so you get a great result consistently.

  2. Thank you so much Mrs. Veena. This blog comes to me at a time I need it the most. Like you I am a self taught baker and my university training has nothing to do with cooking and baking. I love the two and want to go commercial. I have baked cake for friends and family and now I want to take it to the next level, wedding cakes and themed birthday parties and other events. I will begin with two master classes baking and decorating to get tips for improving my current knowledge. Fondant has posed the greatest challenge, I have shied away from it even without attempting, this has cost me alot, missed opportunities. So happy that this will be a thing of the past. Looking forward to interacting with you over the next couple of weeks. Warm hugs from ?? Kenya. Maggie.

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment, Maggie. I am happy you are taking the next step. It really gets easier from here. I hope you find these masterclasses useful.
Remember the most important is practice. And, be prepared that it will take more than one attempt sometimes.
One thing to do when you are in business is to take note of your strengths and weaknesses. That way you can take more orders based on your strengths and be more productive.

This master class was indeed educational for someone wanting to learn to bake cakes from scratch, the techniques taught and thoroughness in the explanations has helped me the cakes were easy to bake once the instructions are followed precisely. Thanks once again Veena Azmanov for providing me the opportunity to do another of your master classes three down, one more to go and I can’t wait to sign up for it.

    1. Thank you, Solange, for the lovely feedback. I am so happy you found this masterclass useful.

  5. Fantastic. I learn so many ideas, tips and hacks every time I take a class. Highly recommended.

  6. For me personally, the masterclass was a great learning experience. The information in the notes was very useful to me.I learned some great techniques for making a red velvet cake! The class’s timeline was perfect. I would strongly recommend this masterclass to anyone who enjoys baking. Thank you so much Veena.

Brilliant. Everythig about the class has been so minutely planned. I have yet to bake. will do soon. Thankyou so much.

    1. Hi Veena , firstly thanks for this amazing class. Being a beginner, I must say I’ve learnt a lot. The information on understanding the ingredients was very well explained. I was able to use this while doing the baking assignments. I couldn’t bake all 5 at a stretch so took some time and completed it and shared pics on the group.
Hope you conduct a cooking masterclass as well.

this master class helps me a lot especially on week 1 understanding the ingredients. thank you so much for your help…

  9. I found this masterclass very useful and informative. The timeline was too quick for me. Having to bake a cake every day was too much. One a week would have been better. Especially because you need to cut it and post pictures to get feedback. I live by myself so I had no one to feed the cake to and I don’t want to eat it all myself. Getting feedback in the Facebook group was also a bit challenging. However, the information Veena gave was great and I learned a lot. Thank you Veena!

    1. Thank you for the feedback, Colette. What do you mean by getting feedback from the Facebook group? I do check the group every day myself did I miss your cakes?

      1. I posted only one cake as, unfortunately, I didn’t do well with that one. It was the strawberry one. All of my others turned out well, so I must have done something very wrong.

        1. Ah…. You must share all the good and the not-so-great outcomes in the group. You never know who might share some helpful feedback. Groups can be great help and motivation.

          1. I’m happy to share the others when I cut them. My post of the strawberry cake doesn’t show up in the group. When I submitted it, it said the post needed approval by a moderator.

            1. Yes, I do go approve the submissions myself so I don’t miss any posts. It will get approved for sure.

              1. Thank you. I’ve read the feedback on my cake. I’ve never had such a failure. But all the rest turned out well and I’ve learned a lot in your class. So thank you very much. Thanks for the feedback too. I may turn the cake into cake pops. They hide a multitude of sins and look effective 🙂

                1. Ture! They are also delicious. Cake pops are my best friend. When I had my business I didn’t want to waste cake so I’d make cake pops and send them to both my kids schools. Kids loved it.
