    Helppppp … seee the fondanr is ready . Its not pialable. Its tearing what should I do

      Did you leave it in the fridge to rest? Check the gelatin – is it stretchy? The recipe should make a smooth pliable and elastic dough.

        Heya Veeena . I just use normal sugar and grind it into powder. So should I add cornflour to it. The sugar dint combine the mixture. It was grainy . I couldn’t roll it more thin. It was thick not strectable. Thank u so much for helping.

          Honey I have never tired so not sure what to suggest. You can try! I think most people refer to it as Powder sugar /Icing Sugar or Confectioners sugar. I presume it is the same is most parts of the world. Also check the gelatin quality and make sure your glycerin is edible. You also get non edible glycine that people use for the face. The GLucose is a sugar syrup not the powder you buy in the bottle. Thanks

      Icing sugar / Powder sugar / Confectioners Sugar is all the same. It has cornstarch added to it. so it will not clump together.

    Ohh I see.. I will try the same amount… what about butter (salted or unsalted) .

      I use unsalted. If you use salted just omit the salt in the recipe

            Thank u soo much Veena…. I will try using icing sugar. Is thr any thing to cut down sweetness in fondant. I have a picture of d fondant.. if you have a look at it you can help me… but how can I send the picture.

              Fondant is sugar paste made from 90 powder sugar!! – if you don’t want it sweet just don’t use fondant – try a meringue butter cream or modelling chocolate.

    Hello veena..i m really lucky to have found your page.i live in India n except for all the ingredients only meringue cannot be found easily…will it make a difference if we omit it out????

    Hello Veena . Iam waiting to try your recipes. .. Can you say half the qty… as I need to try and see… dont want to spoil it by making aloot. . How should I calculate… should I divide it by 2.. can I use unsalted butter or normal butter . Sinve in india I dont get veg shortening . What should I do? Please help

      I have never halved this recipe because it is already quite small. I usually double the recipe or even triple but never halved <3

    i made it exactly with whipping cream,maringue pwd,light corn syrup,shortening,glycerine.i added all ingredients.n my fondant came out as 1200 gms.why was it streching any idea.plzzzz clear itt

    veena first i would thank you for sharing your yummy recipes with us.i am a newbie
    i tried your homemade fondant its really v yummyyy bt the problem i am facing is its streching a lot.i made my first carved car cake covered with fondant.i had no problem in covering car,but when i was putting windows on car its getting streched.i took measurement n cut fondant accordingly,when placing on cake its getting streched.pllzzzz veena reply me.i dont wanna try other recipes.my heart says your recipe is best.
