- 10 cups Bread (1 large challah cut into 1" cubes)
- ½ tsp Pepper
- ½ tsp Salt
- 4 tbsp Parsley chopped finely
- 8 tbsp (90 g) Butter
- 1 cup Onion diced small
- ½ cup Celery diced small
- 2 small Garlic cloves minced
- ½ tsp Sage leaves chopped finely
- 1 tsp Rosemary leaves chopped finely
- 1 tsp Thyme leaves chopped finely
- ½ tsp Kosher salt
- ½ tsp Back pepper powder
- 2 large Eggs
- 2 cups (470 ml) Chicken stock
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350℉/180℃/ Gas Mark 4
- Toast bread – Using a bread knife, cut the loaf of bread into 1-inch cubes. Spread on a large baking tray and toast for about 15 to 20 minutes at 180 C.10 cups Bread
- Saute veggies – In a frying pan, sauté the onions and celery in butter for 2 minutes. Then, add the garlic, sage, thyme, and rosemary. Season with salt and pepper.8 tbsp Butter, 1 cup Onion, ½ cup Celery, 2 small Garlic cloves, ½ tsp Sage leaves, 1 tsp Rosemary leaves, ½ tsp Kosher salt , ½ tsp Back pepper powder, 1 tsp Thyme leaves
- Assemble – Combine the sautéed onions and toasted bread in a large bowl. Add the parsley and season with salt and pepper.½ tsp Pepper, ½ tsp Salt, 4 tbsp Parsley
- Baking dish – Grease a 13 x 9 baking dish with cooking spray or oil. Pour the stuffing mixture into the baking dish. And spread evenly.
- Egg mixture – In the same empty bowl, beat the eggs with the stock until well combined. Pour it over the stuffing and wrap the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.2 large Eggs, 2 cups Chicken stock
- Bake – Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake uncovered for another 10 to 15 minutes.
- Cool – Let the stuffing cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
