Modeling Chocolate Roses - Four Different Methods
Modeling chocolate roses are probably the easiest way to make edible roses. You do not need any special tools or cutters, just modeling chocolate and your fingers to form the petals. This simple, easy and detailed video tutorial will show you four different method to making chocolate roses weather you use dark, white or colored modeling chocolate paste.
Before I became a professional cake decorator the one thing I made on a lot of cakes was modeling chocolate roses. I didn't have any cake tools but I loved decorating cakes so the joy of modeling chocolate roses onto a cake and watching every one get so impressed was really cool.

White chocolate roses work just the same way as dark chocolate but since a few of you on my Facebook Page insisted it didn't work I waned to make a video and show you that it does work. If you find that your white modeling chocolate petals are not forming it's not the method of the rose perhaps the modeling chocolate. What I mean is that - white modeling chocolate is sensitive and while you don't want to over knead it to prevent the fat separating you still do want to knead it so it's soft and pliable. Makes sense?
Here I have used my chocolate roses on top of a chocolate cake. These are even dusted with edible gold dust.
