My grandmother used to make the most amazing desserts with macadamia nuts. I love that this is a tart and I bet it will be a huge hit for our holiday party. This will be fantastic with a cup of coffee or tea at the end of the night!

I happen to have a huge jar or Macadamia nuts sitting in my pantry that would be perfect in this recipe. I am giving away food gifts to my friends this year, and I know someone I need to make this for. Thanks for sharing!

I still have not seen macadamia nuts in store here nor in Austria or France. Maybe they should have them in France but honestly try to find anything in those huge hypermarkets. So I can’t say if I will like the nut but I do know that tart is one of my favorite desserts at home so this should be a winner.

    1. Thanks Helen. I’m surprised they are not in Austria or France. I’d think you can find them easily in Europe. They are not cheap and their shelf life is as short as walnuts lol. The fat content is high so yeah its a bit hard to find everywhere. But you ca use other nuts too! Try Almonds Cashews.

I love all of the substitution notes Veena! I’m a super nervous baker, so I love the tips on what an ingredient does, and what will happen if you substitute. Super helpful!

    1. Thank you Sarah. I know what you mean! I love know what the ingredient does so I can play with my recipes.
