Snack bars are great, but not when they are loaded with sugar. These sugar-free granola bars are made with honey and a secret ingredient you normally never use in granola.
Add the oats, nuts, seeds, almond meal, and chia seeds.
Use a spatula to ensure everything is well combined. You want each and every grain in there to be coated with the egg white mixture so it will hold together.
Pour into a 10 x 10-inch baking pan lined with parchment papers.
Press firmly - I use a piece of parchment paper to press down.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until it's dry and slightly golden.
Remove from the oven - and cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
Then, cool on a wire rack another 10 mins.
While still slightly warm cut into bars, as shown in the video.
Cool completely. Then, store in an airtight container.
These bars will stay at room temperature for up to 10 days.
You can also wrap them and freeze them for up to 3 months.
