Grilled Lamb Chops with Cilantro-Mint Sauce

Grilled lamb chops can be one of the simplest dinners to make in 15 minutes and perfect for entertaining. This simple, easy and effortless recipe for these ginger spiced grilled lamb chops with cilantro-mint sauce works wonders when you want to marinate it ahead of time for a busy celebration or just any weeknight dinner.

For the Lamb Marinade

  • 6 Lamb Chops
  • 1/2 cup Onion roughly chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic large
  • 1/4 inch Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 1 dash black pepper

For the Cilantro Mint Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Mint leaves roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro leaves roughly chopped
  • 1/2 clove Garlic
  • 1/4 inch Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil extra virgin


Prepare Marinade

  • Place all the marinade ingredients in a mixer or food processor and grind to a smooth paste.
  • Brush the marinade on the lamb chops.
  • Leave marinade for as long as you can - overnight works great too.

Grill the chops

  • Heat a skillet on high heat. I like using my grill pan for the lines.
  • Cook on┬áthe first side for about 3 to 4 minutes depending on the thickness.
  • Then flip and cook on the other side for another 2 to 3 minutes again depending on thickness
  • Remove from heat and let rest for 5 to 8 minutes

Prepare the cilantro-mint sauce

  • Place all ingredients in a food processor until you have a smooth paste.
  • Enjoy!
