Summery Tree Stump Wedding Cake
What do you do when you get a bride who's inspiration board and wedding cake design says..
"I want a white wedding cake; actually I like the tree stump effect somewhere, and may be a bright summery green and blue - you know we met in summer on a vacation - can you do something like that?" Well this is what I sketched out and she loved it.
A summery Tree Stump inspired wedding that showcases the blue clouds and green pastures of summer, the white of purity; all perched on a tree stump cake. A unique but gorgeous creation you will agree.
Sometimes; brides go looking for cake inspiration and they come up with so many on their wish list. They want it all and yet they only need one cake! We've all been married so we all know that feeling right? It's normal! Yes it is!
I've realized the trick with this is to first acknowledge the bride and let her know that everything she wants is justified. Then slowly analyze the options she has picked out. Show her how - a white wedding cake and a summer green blue cake are not the same thing!! And yet you can find something in between if she is willing to make a compromise.
Of course there has to be some flowers in there. You know to bring it all together. Nah!!
I just love making flowers so I always encourage brides to have flowers on their cake - because everything looks GOOD with flowers!!
Her favorite was Anemone and she'd love some roses so we have those two flowers incorporated on her cake.
