Want to learn my secrets to baking incredible cakes? Want to learn how to bake from scratch? Would you like to take your baking skills to the next level? Then, this masterclass is for you.

With every new recipe I share, my goal is to help you become a better baker. And, I write detailed posts along with my recipes so you can learn not just how to bake that recipe but also to become a better baker.
While I have had many baking failures over the years, my failures have only made me a better baker. In this masterclass, I will share with you the lessons I've learned from these experiences.
I want you to bake with me. My recipes are tried and tested, so I'm confident you will experience success. And yet, sometimes there will be failures. Hence, I want you to know that I am with you, to help you troubleshoot and learn from these failures.
Also, join the Facebook group, share your pictures and get feedback from me when you join this masterclass.
PLEASE NOTE - Most recipes in this masterclass are made with eggs or non-vegetarian products. If you can't eat eggs please do not register for this masterclass. Currently, I do not have eggless substitutes for these recipes. I truly apologize.
Here is a short intro to this masterclass
Here’s what’s going to happen in the next two weeks.
Week 1
- We are going to understand our ingredients
- How to use them
- When and how to substitute them
- And how to master them
The first step in becoming a great baker is to understand your ingredients. The best part about understanding your ingredients is that you are in control - not your ingredients. That's my first secret to baking.
Week 2
We will do some baking!
I will send you recipes and you will need to follow them and bake. After all, unless you apply the knowledge you have learned you will never know if you have learned it. Right?
Every day, for the next five days, I will send you one recipe, or a choice of two recipes. You will bake one recipe (a simple cake). Don’t worry we will start from the basics and move on to more challenging recipes.
Tools I need for this course?
I am no a slave to tools but there are a few tools that do make cake decorating easier. I have listed a few cake tools here that you may consider investing in.
Finally
Your success in this masterclass is largely dependent on your participation in the course material.
So, I highly encourage you to read the material and to practice the assignments. And, bake some cake.
While you can’t share your cake with me perhaps you can still share the pictures with me on my Facebook Group. I look forward to seeing your hard work.

Yes, we start with the lessons and then move on to baking. After all, how will you learn if you don't put your knowledge to practice?
You don't need a camera to take pictures. Your phone camera is adequate. Just make sure your images are clear, not blurred.
This masterclass is given via a series of emails. You don't need to do anything. During this two-week masterclass, every day, you will get an email from me with the content and assignment for that particular lesson. Follow the lessons and instructions, and do the assignment for each day.
Absolutely, but don't do them all at once.
If you do them one at a time, you will be able to give each masterclass the time and energy it needs.

For me personally, the masterclass was a great learning experience. The information in the notes was very useful to me.I learned some great techniques for making a red velvet cake! The class's timeline was perfect. I would strongly recommend this masterclass to anyone who enjoys baking. Thank you so much Veena.

Gina
Hi Veena , firstly thanks for this amazing class. Being a beginner, I must say I've learnt a lot. The information on understanding the ingredients was very well explained. I was able to use this while doing the baking assignments. I couldn't bake all 5 at a stretch so took some time and completed it and shared pics on the group.
Hope you conduct a cooking masterclass as well.
Veena Azmanov
Happy you enjoyed this course, Gina. Thank you for the feedback.
Jacqueline
this master class helps me a lot especially on week 1 understanding the ingredients. thank you so much for your help...
Veena Azmanov
You are very welcome Jacqueline. Thank you for the feedback.
Colette
I found this masterclass very useful and informative. The timeline was too quick for me. Having to bake a cake every day was too much. One a week would have been better. Especially because you need to cut it and post pictures to get feedback. I live by myself so I had no one to feed the cake to and I don’t want to eat it all myself. Getting feedback in the Facebook group was also a bit challenging. However, the information Veena gave was great and I learned a lot. Thank you Veena!
Veena Azmanov
Thank you for the feedback, Colette. What do you mean by getting feedback from the Facebook group? I do check the group every day myself did I miss your cakes?
Colette
I posted only one cake as, unfortunately, I didn’t do well with that one. It was the strawberry one. All of my others turned out well, so I must have done something very wrong.
Veena Azmanov
Ah.... You must share all the good and the not-so-great outcomes in the group. You never know who might share some helpful feedback. Groups can be great help and motivation.
Colette
I'm happy to share the others when I cut them. My post of the strawberry cake doesn't show up in the group. When I submitted it, it said the post needed approval by a moderator.
Veena Azmanov
Yes, I do go approve the submissions myself so I don't miss any posts. It will get approved for sure.
Colette
Thank you. I’ve read the feedback on my cake. I’ve never had such a failure. But all the rest turned out well and I’ve learned a lot in your class. So thank you very much. Thanks for the feedback too. I may turn the cake into cake pops. They hide a multitude of sins and look effective 🙂
Veena Azmanov
Ture! They are also delicious. Cake pops are my best friend. When I had my business I didn't want to waste cake so I'd make cake pops and send them to both my kids schools. Kids loved it.
