Orchids White Wedding Cake
I made this three tier White Wedding Cake with Orchids recently. Loved how the flowers and the who effect of the cake turned out.
For those of you that asked me some details on how I made this Orchids White Wedding Cake
The top and bottom is a standard 4″ tall cake. The middle is a double barrel cake which I explained in detail on this Tip Thursday – All about Double Barrel Cake
The cake itself –
Top Tier – my Vanilla Cream Cake – Vanilla Buttercream
Middle Tier – Two 8″ cakes of my VAOC Chocolate Cake – Chocolate Buttercream
Bottom Tier – Lemon Cake with Lemon Curd and Vanilla Buttercream
The whole cake is frosted with White and dark chocolate Ganache respectively
Satin Ice white fondant here.
The Top Tier of the cake is made with Marvelous Molds Bird with Blossom Onlay. Of course I customized it to suit my needs, as you can see I have not used the bird at all.
The middle tier is the Alligator Impression Mat from Marvelous Molds as well.
And the Bottom Tier is also a Marvelous Molds Onlay lace called Karen enhanced lace mold
The Borders for the top and Bottom tier are the Grand Tassel from the swag collections molds from Marvelous Molds as well.
For the Sugar Orchids I have used these Cateleya Orchid Cutters and Petal Dust
Currently I do not have the Orchid tutorial but I do plan to add it to my Online Shop soon.
