A Mans Shoe Cake is a perfect gift cake for any guy small or big celebration his birthday or milestone. It even makes for a great grooms cake idea. This simple easy and effortless tutorial works great as a guide weather you replicate this or choose another design for a shoe cake.

A very Happy New Year to you all my lovely friends. Wish you all the best in this coming year.
Today's Tip Thursday is contributed by the lovely Gulnaz Mitchell of Heavenly Cakes 4U by Gulnaz Mitchell. Gulnaz is not just a amazingly talented and versatile cake artist but also my good friend.
Today she shared with us how to make this Mans shoe cake. Simple and easy. The best would be to use the recipients favorite shoe as a model. Gulnaz has given us a little tutorial here so we can use as a guide to our next Shoe Cake
Here is a short bio Gulnaz shared with us
I am Gulnaz Mitchell, the owner and cake artist at Heavenlycakes4you by Gulnaz Mitchell.
Originally from Russia, Kazan, which is 800 km east from Moscow and moved to New Zealand about 13 years ago.
I attribute becoming a “cake addict” to my children - my eldest daughter was diagnosed with Coeliac disease (gluten intolerance) when she was three. It was hard to find gluten free treats back then here in NZ. Then I started baking myself.
Decided to start doing cakes professionally about 2 years ago. Being a self-taught decorator, who spent many hours watching You Tube and Craftsy classes, learning from tutorials generously put on the internet and looking at all gorgeous creations on Facebook.
Indeed, one of my first “cake idols” was Veena. I was frequent visitor of her blog and site. I am so blessed to have her as my friend now!

Hi Veena: did you use a template to cut out the outline of the shoe - if yes, where can I get a template, thanks in advance
Veena Azmanov
You can get a template on google - just look under the images for the type of shoe you want. Then print it to the size you want.
Marion
Thanks Veena for your reply - will do.
Loroy
Thank you so much for this tutorial Veena. I made a shoe cake last week. Turned out amazing. It definitely took more than the time I anticipated.
