I hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween this year. I hope you also had some spooky Halloween Cakes to celebrate with.
Today, I thought I’d share with you the Halloween Cakes I made this season.
The first is a Witches Pumpkin Carriage Cake
Here are some more close up pictures for you .
Here’s the pumpkin Carriage.
And some skull and bones. I recently shared six Halloween Cupcake Toppers videos in that one video I showed you how to make the Skull and Bone. You can check it out here. Halloween Skull and Bones Cupcake Toppers
And the second is my incomplete Sculpted Witch Cake.
My incomplete Sculpted Witch cake. Yes, incomplete.
There was suppose to be an arm holding the apple hence the expression on the face….
Well here’s the story… I was asked to make a sculpted witch, something completely outside my comfort zone but thought I’d give it a go and see how I do.
I started the cake two days early just so I would have enough time to do or re-do in case I needed. BUT
The birthday celebration was pre-poned two days early. So when the lady called me regarding the cake I had carved but not finished –
I had two options I could cancel the order or get it done is three hours. She insisted I give her cake even if not decorated..
I tried to do as much as I could …! But when she came to pick the cake I had still not finished with the hand holding the apple. and some of the other details I would have liked to do..
But…. I love my customers.. some of them are incredible supportive.
Her bony neck down is cake but the head is Rice Krispy’s Treats. We discussed this in my previous Tip Thursday on Rice Krispy’s Treats for Cake Decorating.
Don’t forget to check out the six videos on how to make the other Halloween Cupcake Toppers.
