This year I decide to pay a little more attention to my you tube videos. Most of the request I had last year were to share some Sugar Flower tutorials.
So here is the first Gum paste Open Peony. I am currently working on my Red Rose tutorial for valentines day too! Fingers crossed I will manage to edit and share that with you soon.

The open peonies I shared in this video are the ones I used on this cake above. Of course I make all my peonies this way so you will find more cakes with peonies on my Facebook Page.

No Peony Cutters — If you are a cake decorator and make peonies often it’s a good idea to invest in some good peony cutters. Below I have given you a few choices which ever cutter you choose you can use the same method shown in the video above.
If you do not have a peony cutter. A heart cutter will work just as well – You cut out the heart shape and use the back of your cutter or fluted wheel to create a scallop on the top. As shown in the pictures below. Then vein and thing the edges as shown in the video.
