Firstly, one of my ways to deliver my cupcake orders on time is to choose a design that enables me to make the decorations ahead of time. In addition, I'm not a big fan of freezing my cupcakes. So, I bake them fresh. Therefore, I have to avoid last minute, time-consuming toppers.
Moreover, I think that if you have a large order, you can go simple with just piping work, or fancy with such fantasy sugar flowers that you can make days in advance. Leaving you time to breath or as I say - no stress alternative.
Today's Tip Thursday is contributed by the lovely Melanie Byrne of The Enchanting Merchant Company. A very talented artist and close friend too.
Here is a short bio on Melanie
My name is Melanie Byrne and I am the owner/cake designer at The Enchanting Merchant Company. I'm South Indian origin, born in Malaysia, grew up in Australia and recently migrated to Scotland.
I've always had an interest in art and combined with a love of cooking. And, naturally, I was also drawn to cake decorating. After years of making cakes for family and friends, it started becoming a very expensive hobby! I took some formal cake decorating classes to understand the business before I finally launched myself headfirst into my new career.
