Fantasy Flower Cupcake Topper – Tip Thursday Collections
Fantasy flowers are the current trend, be it gum paste or wafer paper. This pretty gumpaste fantasy flower cupcake topper tutorial is a simple, easy and effortless way of adding a big impact to your small cupcakes. They can be made a head of time making work flow easy for last minute cake details.
One of my favorite ways to get cupcake orders done on time is to choose a design that enables me to make the decorations ahead of time. I’m not a big fan of freezing my cupcakes which means I bake them fresh and that also means that if I have a time consuming topper it will take me for ever to get done.
I think if you have a large order you can go simple with just piped work or fancy with such fantasy sugar flowers that really can be done days in advance. Leaving you time to breath or as I say – no stress alternative.
Today’s Tip Thursday is contributed by the lovely Melanie Byrne of The Enchanting Merchant Company. A very talented artist and close friend too.
Here is a little Bio Melanie shared with us.
My name is Melanie Byrne and I am the owner/cake designer at The Enchanting Merchant Company. I’m South Indian origin, born in Malaysia, grew up in Australia and recently migrated to Scotland.
I’ve always had an interest in art and combined with a love of cooking; cake decorating was a hobby that was naturally drawn to. After years of making cakes for family and friends, it started becoming a very expensive hobby! I took some formal cake decorating classes to understand the business before I finally launched myself headfirst into my new career.
