Ivory Lace Wedding Cake
My recent creation – A gorgeous Ivory lace wedding cake with some pretty sugar flowers was the brief for this wedding.
Here’s a close up of the sugar flowers. An old English Rose with lots of sugar blossoms.
The most time consuming part of making this cake was the flavors! Each tier was a different flavor
Bottom – Chocolate Espresso with Baileys Buttercream
Third – Chocolate Strawberry Cake with Swiss Meringue Buttercream
Second – Orange Cake with American Buttercream
Top – Gluten Free Coffee Cake with White Chocolate Ganache
The Homemade Edible Sugar Lace – I made a few days ago so putting it together was fairly easy. You can get the Homemade Edible Sugar Lace recipe here on my blog. It’s not my own recipe but the recipe I found on Cake Central by Dawn Edwards. I have been using it quite successfully so far and like it very much.
Here’s one of the lace pattern I used.
The lace mat looks something like these below. They are not the exact design but these are similar to what I use. Some mats are branded and more expensive while some are more affordable – I have both and honestly they all work well!.
The Edible Lace I used is a homemade recipe – that I found on cake Central. It’s not my recipe. You can find the recipe here on my blog as well.
